LATIN

Fulaso’s music emanates New York City, mixing the hottest boogaloo classic arrangements with bumpin' neo-soul originals. The group’s band of tight musicians expertly blends traditional rhythms rooted in Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Colombia, with sixties soul and funk grooves highlighted by a hefty brass section to create a powerful new sound. Headed by an unstoppably soulful songstress who tears up the stage with theatrical flair, Fulaso surprises and delights audiences with unparalleled energy and skill!
Not only has their recoded music received high accolades, it is a pure window into the band’s incredible soul and original live sound. Fulaso boasts two self produced EP’s, both recorded LIVE to analog at The Creamery Recording Studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Following their first EP, Funky Latin Soul released in 2015, Fulaso presents their second EP, The Funky Basement. In honor of Music In Our Schools Month, Fulaso is donating 100% of music proceeds through the month of March to purchasing Latin percussion instruments for NYC Public Schools. This tight troupe has paired up with Peace & Rhythm in association with Enlace Funk to release an two-side vinyl 45 of La Rumba, backed with My Little Baby, both songs composed by Fulaso’s pianist, Juan Sebastian Bowers Rodriguez in association with Fulaso.

P.R.A.T.O. is a Reggae/Ska/Rock band composed of three Rio de Janeiro natives living in Miami. The band returns in 2017 with a new Portuguese project. Leba (Bass/vocals), Stry (Guitar/vocals) and Calixto (Drums/percussion) play a unique style, mixing Brazilian music with Reggae and Rock, being one of the most influential groups in the local Latin rock scene in the 2000’s.

The trio released their first CD under the label Fabrika/Sony-BMG Latin in 2005. The hit “Inmigracion” reached Top 10 for many weeks playing on the radio in the US and Latin America. The band played in various respected venues, like the famous Viper Room in Los Angeles, Billboard Live and international festivals along with bands such as: Paralamas do Sucesso, Natiruts, Bacilos, Rabanes, Los Piojos, …

P.R.A.T.O. has their own style, with a fun upbeat vibe and cool lyrics mixing the old Rock’ n Roll with a heavy tone of Reggae and a spicy Rio bohemian touch. It has lots of the classic Rudeboy/Rocksteady Jamaican base and influence from the Reggae/Ska/Punk 90’s movements, traveling all the way to their “Carioca” (Rio de Janeiro native) essence.

The band is releasing 5 new songs in social media and in local Brazilian radio stations. The independent production has a more personal touch, organic but upbeat and fun. It will make you dance without language boundaries, taking you all the way to a more alternative but still fun side of Rio.

What is a BACHACO? The word BACHACO is the name given to a Leafcutter Ant in Venezuela. The same type of ant is found accross that Amazon Rainforest and in countries such as Panama, Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil. The insect is used by Venezuelan indians to create a ‘picante’ (hot sauce). We could say BACHACO is a musical PICANTE.
